i Created the intuitive journey for pregnant families who want to pull birth outcomes in their favour.
Equipping you with the skills and habits to transform your labour experience.
You’re 20 weeks pregnant or freshly postpartum and you’ve got a million and one things to do and prepare for your new baby. Do you ever wish you could just hit pause on life and take some time for yourself?
Whenever you think about giving birth or breastfeeding you feel anxious.
Your timeline is full of pregnancy and feeding advice and you’re not sure how much of it you can trust.
Whenever you have birth or feeding questions it takes ages to get an appointment and there’s no guarantee you’ll have the same midwife on the big day/when you need them.
You feel overwhelmed with everything and you don’t know where to start.
Life is getting expensive these days and you don’t know what baby stuff is worth the investment.
Don’t worry, you’re exactly where you need to be in this moment. I’m here to be a part of your village and offer online hypnobirthing and mindful breastfeeding classes and ongoing emotional support when you need it most.
My name is Megan (she/her) and I’m a fully certified and insured hypnobirthing coach who follows The Calm Birth School method of hypnobirthing. I have completed my birth trauma competency training and I currently have the honour of studying with The Mindful Breastfeeding School, which means that I’m all clued up on all things breastfeeding too and searching for case studies.
I love working with pregnant families who are ready to take that bold step of overcoming their fears surrounding birth and breastfeeding, and couples who really believe that a positive labour and feeding experience is possible. My favourite part of my job is seeing women find their voice and the confidence to advocate for themselves fiercely, and trust that inner knowing instead of letting it sabotage their birth. That lightbulb moment when birth partners realise they don’t have to feel powerless and recognise their value in the birth space and during those precious first few weeks is just everything.
“During labour, I felt calm and in control, and my birthing partner was well-prepared to support me. The tools and preparation from The Intuitive Journey transformed my birth into a beautiful, serene experience.”
– Priscilla and Archie
Signing up for my signature online hypnobirthing course would look like a short weekly time commitment for four weeks, plus fifteen minutes of daily rituals. The sessions would provide you with holistic, actionable steps to help you prepare for your child’s safe arrival and give them the best possible introduction to the world. Our meetings would provide a safe space for you to talk through the worries keeping you up at night and the opportunity to unpack your previous experiences from the convenience and comfort of your own home. This is the time to prioritise your own wellbeing and learn invaluable skills that can be applied to all aspects of your life.
“The virtual 1:1 sessions were so convenient and Megan kindly rescheduled without hesitation when we were unable to make a scheduled appointment with her. I would highly recommend Megan at The Intuitive Journey if you are thinking of changing your perspective of birth.”
- Kelly and Craig
Deciding to prepare for breastfeeding while you’re still pregnant is a great way to get your breastfeeding journey off to the best start. This would look like a short weekly time commitment for three weeks, plus 5-15 minutes of daily rituals. The sessions would provide you with holistic, actionable steps to help you prepare for chest feeding and give your baby the best possible nourishment and connection as they navigate life outside your womb. Our meetings would provide a safe space for you to ask any questions you may have from the convenience, privacy and comfort of your own home. This is the time to plan for how early parenthood will look for you and arm yourself with the knowledge to embrace further support once your baby has arrived.
My intention for The Intuitive Journey is to help expectant and new parents work with their bodies to create beauty in their birth and feeding experiences, no matter how many unexpected twists and turns their journey takes.
I have been fascinated by birth ever since my mum was pregnant with my little sister when I was thirteen years old, which is unusual in itself. Ever since, with every new birth video, book and informative social media post I found, it has felt more like a calling.
I first heard about hypnobirthing from my friend, who spoke so enthusiastically about how the techniques have helped her, not just during the birth of her children, but also in her everyday life. The more I looked into it, I loved how it seamlessly blended science and spirituality, and how achievable it was for all birthing people.
I have always believed in the magic of our bodies/womb space and how capable we are of birthing naturally. Yet I have also been raised in a very medical family, and understand the importance of abdominal birth and intervention in certain cases. All forms of birth can be incredibly beautiful and empowering, and all families deserve the opportunity to make informed choices on how they want their birth to go.
The breastfeeding rates in the UK are heartbreakingly low and the emotional, physical and developmental benefits of breastfeeding are undeniable. I firmly believe in a woman’s right to bodily autonomy and to make the best decisions for her unique needs and family situation. So the thought of women giving up on breastfeeding earlier than they wanted to due to misinformation, lack of support and societal pressure really saddens me. Breastfeeding is not just about nutritional value, but that precious connection and bonding time with your new baby, and I believe that the choice to wean should only happen when the mum feels ready for that change.
I really want to provide a safe container for new parents to explore their feelings, beliefs and habits, ask questions without fear of shame or judgment, and work through their feeding struggles with confidence. I want to help nurture new parents and help them pour into themselves in the way they give to their families, and I would love to discuss how my services can help you feel more like yourself again and find your rhythm with feeding. One simple adjustment at a time.
